  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
TranscriptsOfficial transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities where degrees were conferred
Official GMAT/GRE ScoreNo entrance exams required

  • Completed background check and authorization form
  • Personal statement
  • Student acknowledgment form
  • Student questionnaire
  • Reference form
  • A complete and current résumé
  • FERPA Consent to Release Educational Records and Information form (written consent for release of test records to certification officer and program faculty)
  • Current teaching license (if you’re a teacher)
  • Teaching Service Record is no longer required. If a student was admitted to the program prior to September 1, 2023, the student is required to have 2 years of teaching experience according to TAC Code 239.20. If a student is admitted to the program after September 1, 2023, the student is not required to have 2 years of teaching experience according to Senate Bill (SB) 798.

NOTE: Applicants that do not meet all the requirements of the ideal candidate are still encouraged to apply. Admissions decisions are based on holistic reviews of an applicant’s entire application package.
