BIOGRAPHY

Stephanie Eberts, Ph.D., is an adjunct instructor at Our Lady of the Lake San Antonio. She earned her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Georgia State University and her master’s degree from Loyola University, New Orleans. Dr. Eberts has been a counselor educator since 2010, working in both Texas and Louisiana. She is committed to preparing future professional school counselors and school counseling leaders. Dr. Eberts has extensive experience working in schools. She worked as a school counselor (at both the elementary and middle school level) in New Orleans for six years, and during her doctoral training she worked with Safe and Drug Free Schools of Gwinnett County in Georgia for another three years. Because of her commitment to the school counseling field, she partners with local schools and educational agencies to provide continuing education and support for practicing counselors in her area. She has held leadership positions in national professional organizations and is a regular presenter at the regional, national, and international level. She presents on topics related to school counseling, group work, play therapy, and crisis and trauma. She has published multiple book chapters and journal articles.
