Adjunct Faculty, Counseling
Christina R. Marbach, Ph.D., recently joined Our Lady of the Lake as an adjunct faculty member in the department of counseling. Marbach has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for more than 18 years and has worked in a variety of behavioral healthcare settings, including residential treatment. Additionally, she maintained a private practice for more than seven years where she worked predominantly with children and their families.
Marbach also spent five years with a national behavioral health managed care organization, focusing on areas such as utilization management and case management with an emphasis on coordination of care between multiple providers for members with high-risk physical and behavioral health conditions.
Currently, she is employed as a Senior Accreditation Manager for a national healthcare corporation and has spent more than 5 years teaching graduate counseling courses. Her research interests include youth caregivers, effects of trauma on children and adolescents, and the role of spirituality in counseling.
Marbach earned her Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from The University of Texas at San Antonio, her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University, and her Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
