Information for International Students

At Our Lady of the Lake University, we believe it is important to provide students with a variety of knowledge and perspectives to enhance their coursework. This not only includes the broad experience of the school's faculty, but also the interaction with a diverse student body. Adding to this diversity is the wide variety of backgrounds that make up our student body, including students from other countries and cultures. Online education makes this exchange of perspectives even more available, and the programs at OLLU are ideal for students from all over the world.

To apply to Our Lady of the Lake, all international students whose previous education was attained outside the United States must submit the following along with the materials outlined on the Admissions page:

  • Official transcripts from previous institutions (including English translations for any transcripts from institutions where English is not the native language)
  • For transcripts from institutions outside the United States, we require a course-by-course evaluation with GPA to convert the academic achievements of international applicants to the U.S. educational system.
  • Official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores (from a test date within two years) of at least 550 (paper-based test) or 79 (computer-based test) OR an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.5

Students are exempt from the TOEFL requirement if they have earned a high school diploma, bachelor’s degree, or higher from an accredited United States high school, college, or university; or speak English as their native language.

If you have any questions about learning online as an international student or would like to discuss your individual situation, please call an admissions advisor at 855-275-1082 or request more information.
