Among the many considerations to take into account when choosing an institution for pursuing your online degree is its accreditation. A university's accreditation can have an impact on your career, and you want to make sure that impact is a positive one.
Our Lady of the Lake offers respected accreditation, which also applies to our online programs. Our Lady of the Lake University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.
In addition, the University has received appropriate accreditation or approval for various programs from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Council on Social Work Education, the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, the American Psychological Association, and the Commission on Applied and Clinical Sociology.
Among its many esteemed rankings and recognitions, OLLU has had its inclusive reputation validated by its ranking as a top Texas private university for awarding master’s degrees to Hispanics, according to rankings from The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education magazine (2011). OLLU is also in the top 50 of all universities nationally for awarding master’s degrees to Hispanics.
OLLU was elevated to the national category by U.S. News and World Report (“America’s Best Colleges 2012”). It moved up from Tier 1 of Regional Universities – West (“America’s Best Colleges 2011”).
For the fourth consecutive year OLLU has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).
The CNCS looked at OLLU’s institutional commitment and support of service, evaluation and assessment to improve the quality of interventions, developing long-term, collaborative community partnerships, and addressing significant community needs with measurable impacts.
